Spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, to bring a greater awareness of God.
After serving as Assistant to Bishop Marvin L. Winans for more than a decade in Detroit's Perfecting Church, Pastor Donnie McClurkin was ordained and sent out as Pastor of Perfecting Faith Church in May 2001. He accepted Jesus as Savior on July 14th, 1969 at the age of nine, and was gifted by God with musical talent that would later be used to minister to the world. With musical mentors such as Andrae Crouch and others, the ministry of music was imparted. Overcoming childhood rape, molestation and sexual ambiguity by the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, the strong anointing and the call to ministry were apparent. This ministry call led him as a teen to street evangelism as well as into prisons with a burden for the lost. Today, Pastor McClurkin's evangelistic approach and appeal, along with his passion to worship God and minister to people, has transferred to the Perfecting Faith body, causing it to be a church focused on winning the "unchurched." His dynamic, impassioned, and often humorous delivery of the gospel of Jesus Christ brings the hearer to a greater awareness of God and His purpose for their lives. As he ministers at some of the world's greatest gatherings such as Benny Hinn Crusades, Bishop T.D. Jakes Ministry events, Rod Parsley Dominion Camp meetings, and on the Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN), Pastor McClurkin's message is clear: "I want to introduce Jesus Christ to the world, not as a religious leader or an icon, but as an intimate friend who wants to radically change our lives for the better.
